My dearest friend,

I want you to know how proud I am of you. I know that it can’t be easy for you to navigate through life with all of the hurdles thrown at you. I’ve learned so much being your friend. I remember when I went to a queer function with you, and I thought, “How could bigoted bullies target such creative lovely people?” I remember being scared for you and your friends.

Thank you for teaching me so much. Thank you for answering all my questions. Thank you for showing me a different lens to view the world through.

Most of all, thank you for being my friend.

Sincerely your friend,

Laura
